Center for Health Promotion PrimaVita
Welcome to the Center for Health Promotion (Gesundheitszentrum) PrimaVita!
The Health Promotion Center has been in existence since 1993. In August 2002, it received a new image under the name „ Center for Health Promotion Prima Vita. Nation-wide, it was the first prevention facility that was affiliated with a hospital. The focus of its comprehensive services is health promotion and prevention.
More than 700 courses and seminars are offered each year covering such topics as exercise, fitness and prevention, nutrition, relaxation, stress reduction, memory training, weight management and smoking cessation. Besides these, there are many courses dealing with Childbirth A-Z and Parent-Child issues.
Since August of 2008, the Center for Health Promotion Prima Vita can use the swimming pool located at the former Rehabilitation Center on Teltower Damm. This enables us to widen our services to include aqua courses, which occur in water with a constant temperature of 32°C. By means of an integrated Hub floor, we offer various courses in either 135 cm of water, or a deep water course in 180 cm.
Besides this broad spectrum of courses and seminars, the Center for Health Promotion Prima Vita offers other services:
The International Medical Services, is an important medical contact point in Berlin. In collaboration with multiple embassies (i.e. USA, Cnada, Australia and New Zealand), medical examinations for foreign immigration are offered and provided in a non-bureaucratic manner. At the same time, foreigners and/or patients living outside of the country, who have medical questions or needs, can approach us directly and expect to receive quick and uncomplicated help in multiple languages.
Weight Reduction is also a focal point of the Center for Health Promotion Prima Vita. Besides offering the Optifast®52-Program and the Optifast® II Mini Program, individual counselling is offered. We will work with you to develop a healthy nutritional strategy which is tailored to meet your individual wishes and problems.
The Medical Check-up is an interdisciplinary, comprehensive, preventive health examination involving the teamwork of specialists in the various departments. On the basis of comprehensive consultations with the attending physicians and detailed clinical and apparative examinations, you will receive a broad overview of your present state of health, personal resources and risk profile. We will show you practical options on how to strengthen and maintain your health over the long run.
In spite of all the activities and services that the Center for Health Promotion offers, you as a person, with your individual needs, remain the focus of our team.
