A high-performance Radiology Department is indispensable for clinic practice, and sees itself as a service and support center for process optimization within the hospital structure. In our department, modern digital technology is used. This significantly reduces the exposure to radiation.
The Radiology Department is equipped with a modern Computertomography (CT) machine. With the help of this technology, we are able create superimposed imagery tomograms. These facilitate the clinicians with diagnosis and therapy.
Also, we offer digital mammograms, functional screening examinations and a whole spectrum of digital x-ray diagnostics.
Several times a day, conferences with the hospital's various specialty departments take place.
The diagnosis and evaluation of the radiological examinations are carried out on high-resolution monitors. By means of a special analysis and image processing software, the images can then be edited. This expands the diagnostic possibilities. The archiving of the images is done centrally (KIS/PACS). In order to ensure 24-hour care, images are sent outside the normal working hours to the Charité Medical University Berlin, for diagnosis (Teleradiology).
Our digital image archive and communications system makes it possible to immediately access all our radiological findings and image data at any time and at any place within the hospital. A CD with documentation of the relative examinations can be provided for transferring external physicians or specialty departments from other hospitals.
